Happy Independence Day to all my American readers (which I’m assuming is most of you)! Today also marks the fourth month of Charlotte’s life, so in honor of both, a few pictures:
Her outfit was purchased by my mom, aka Nana, and I think it is absolutely adorable. I can’t believe how big she looks! And would you believe that twice in the last week she has slept from 8:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.?? It was amazing, but of course that sort of thing is still the exception and not the norm. Most other nights she sleeps from 8:00 or 8:30 until 3:00, then we get her to go back to sleep (most of the time without feeding her), and then she wakes up for the day between 6:00 and 7:00. She’s also graced us with more of her giggles, due mainly to Stephen’s mom, whom Charlotte apparently finds quite amusing. I hope to capture her giggles on camera at some point because they are SO cute. She grins pretty much all the time, except of course when it’s time to take a nap or go to bed, and then she’s fussing and fighting sleep. One day I will tell her about her resistance to sleep, and she will undoubtedly think, “Why in the world did I think it would be good NOT to sleep?”
I hope you all have had a great holiday weekend!
